Lewis Hamilton Wins British Grand Prix 2015

Lewis Hamilton won the British Grand Prix at Silverstone for the third time to extend championship lead

Home favourite switched seamlessly to intermediate tyres when rain showers threatened his lead in closing laps

He had to recover from sluggish start and was third at one point after Felipe Massa and Valteri Bottas overtook him

But Hamilton had plenty of pace to assume the lead and hold off challenge of German team-mate Nico Rosberg

Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari finished third, with Williams duo Massa and Bottas fourth and fifth respectively

Jenson Button's Silverstone hoodoo continued after he went off on the first lap
